Dhanalakshmi Export is tucked away in Kadhir Layout, specifically at 25A on the 4th street in Tirupur. If you know anything about Tirupur, you know how much goes on with textiles and shipping. Our corner of the city is no different. It’s usually quite loud with the sound of machines and people moving crates around. We’ve been operating from this layout for quite a while now. The office is small and often cramped with stacks of fabric or boxes ready for the trucks. We don't spend much on making the place look polished. We’d rather spend that on making sure the orders are right. The staff here are mostly local people who know the industry inside out. It’s a hot city, so the afternoons can be a bit sluggish, but the work never really stops. We spend a lot of time checking the details on the export papers because one small mistake can cause a lot of trouble later. It’s a lot of physical work and a lot of time spent on the phone. We don’t have a fancy website with professional photos. What you see is what you get when you walk through the door. It’s a tough business sometimes, especially with the deadlines, but we’ve managed to stay at this 4th street address by just staying focused and working hard every day. It’s just how we do things here and we like the neighborhood.
