Dairys Fresh Ice Cream

You can find us at No:1, Rajaji Street, right where Velandipalayam Road starts. Dairys Fresh Ice Cream is just a local spot for the people living around here. We’ve got a small storefront that we open up every morning after we clean the floors. It’s a quiet area mostly, except for when the commute starts. We serve a lot of families who come by after dinner for a small treat. The shop is small, so if five people come in at once, it feels crowded. We have a few benches outside where people sit if it’s a nice evening. I’ve lived in Velandipalayam my whole life, so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. We don't do anything fancy with the ice cream, just keep it simple and cold. Sometimes the kids draw on the sidewalk outside while their parents talk. We have to keep an eye on the power because we get some flickers around here, and we can’t have the stock melting. It’s a lot of repetitive work, scooping and cleaning, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a big sign, just enough for you to know what we sell. It’s a decent place to work and the neighbors are friendly enough. We just take it one day at a time and hope the weather stays warm enough for people to want a cold snack.
