Our office is at 28, right by the Bus Stand in Singalandapuram. Being so close to the bus stand means it’s never really quiet here, which is fine by us. Cpm Corporate is where we handle various business tasks that come our way throughout the week. You can hear the buses pulling in and the conductors shouting all day long. It makes the place feel very alive. Inside, we have a few desks pushed together and a lot of binders filled with records. People often drop in because they’re passing through the station anyway. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so whoever is closest to the door usually says hello. We do a lot of typing and filing, and sometimes the electricity goes out so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. Singalandapuram is a small enough place that we know most of the people who walk past our window. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or art for the walls; we just have what we need to get the job done. It’s a practical setup for the kind of corporate services we provide to local businesses. Some days are slower than others, and we might spend the afternoon organizing the supply closet or cleaning the windows. It’s just a regular job in a busy part of town, and we’re happy to be right in the middle of it. It’s a bit noisy, but we are used to the rhythm.
