Benglen Public School

The school is located at No 13 on TVS Nagar Road in Kavundampalayam. It is a typical part of Coimbatore, with houses and small shops all mixed together. We have a decent-sized building with a gate that stays shut during school hours. The playground is a simple open space where the students gather for drills and sports. It gets quite dusty when the wind picks up in the afternoon, but that is just the way it is in this part of town. Inside, the classrooms are functional. We have benches that have been used by many batches of students over the years. The teachers’ desks are usually piled high with homework books and red pens. We have a small office near the entrance where all the administrative work happens, which is mostly filling out forms and talking to parents who drop by. The hallways can get quite loud during the change of periods, but it settles down once the next teacher walks in. We have a few ceiling fans in every room, and they hum away all day long to keep the air moving. The staff is a mix of older teachers who have been here forever and a few younger ones just starting out their careers. We do not go in for anything fancy or expensive; we just provide a place for kids to come and learn their subjects. It is a practical, everyday school for the local community.
