Babu Saloon

We’ve been here at S.R.T. Layout for quite a while now. Most people find us easily because we’re right near the Co-Operative Bank in Singanallur. It’s a busy little spot. I usually open up the shutters early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The shop isn’t huge, but there’s enough room for a few chairs and some benches for people waiting. It gets a bit noisy sometimes with the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is around here. We handle a lot of the local men and kids from the neighborhood. Sometimes a regular comes in just to chat for a bit while they wait their turn. We keep things pretty simple. There’s no fancy air conditioning, just the fans going and the radio playing in the background. My tools are mostly the same ones I’ve used for years, kept sharp and ready. It’s hard work standing on your feet all day, especially when the shop gets crowded on weekends. You see the same faces every month, and you get to know how everyone likes their hair. It’s just a normal part of life in Coimbatore. We don't do anything flashy, just cutting hair and trimming beards like any other day. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so sweeping is a constant job. That’s about it for our little place on 54/37. It’s nothing special to look at but it serves the folks around here well enough.
