Ayyappa Cranes

We operate out of No: 17 on Sathy Road, on the second floor of Ant Mansion. We are right across from the CMS Educational Trust in the Ganapathy area. Most of our work, however, happens out on job sites rather than in the office. We deal with cranes and heavy lifting, which means we spend a lot of time looking at weights and heights. It’s a serious business because you can't afford to make mistakes when you’re moving heavy loads. Our equipment is kept at a different yard because it obviously won't fit in an office building. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out checking sites before the machines arrive. The office is mostly for handling the permits and the logs. It's a bit quiet up there compared to the noise of the cranes. We’ve been part of this community for a while, helping with various building projects and moving things that are just too big for anything else. We don't have a glossy brochure. Usually, people just call us because they saw one of our rigs at a site nearby. We try to be on time, but sometimes moving a giant crane through city traffic takes longer than we expect. We just do the job safely and move on to the next one. It’s how we’ve always done it. We just keep our eyes on the hooks and our feet on the ground.
