Ashwini Pet Industry

Pollachi is a decent place to run a business like this, especially tucked away in the Kumarasamy Lay-Out. We are at number 10, and it’s a spot we’ve called home for the Ashwini Pet Industry for some time. Dealing with PET materials means dealing with a lot of volume, so our space is usually packed with stuff waiting to go out. The layout is mostly quiet, which is a nice change from the main market areas. We spend most of our mornings organizing the day's load and checking the machines. It’s not a shiny operation with a bunch of suits; it’s more about getting our hands dirty and making sure the plastic products are made right. Some of the neighbors have been here as long as we have. We’ve seen the industry change quite a bit, but the basic work of handling these materials stays the same. The weather here can get pretty warm, so we start early to beat the sun when we can. There’s always something that needs fixing or a delivery that’s running late, but that’s just how it goes when you’re running a small industrial setup. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work, day in and day out, making sure the PET business keeps moving along in this part of town.
