We are situated quite close to the Devanga Kalyan Hall, which is a place most people know for all the functions held there. Town Hall is always buzzing with activity, and Poomarket Road is usually packed with people buying flowers and other things. Our salon is right in the middle of all that. It’s a straightforward shop for men mostly, where we do haircuts and shaves. It’s been around for quite a while now. We don’t have a big website or a fancy receptionist. You just walk in, wait for your turn on the bench, and get your hair cut. The chairs are old but comfortable, and the mirrors have seen a lot of years. I like being in this part of Coimbatore because you see everyone here. From the flower sellers to the office workers, they all stop by eventually. We keep the radio on and just go about our work. It’s a honest day’s labor. Sometimes when there’s a big event at the Kalyan Hall, we get extra busy with people wanting to look neat for the photos. We just do our best to keep everyone moving and happy. It’s a simple life running a salon in Town Hall, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
