Rawatsar Agro Biotech Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out in Kikraliyanyolkhi Road. We are staying at Daya Ram’s place. It’s a village setting, so don’t expect a big glass building or anything. Most of the time we are out in the fields or sitting on the porch talking about the crops. We started this because doing everything alone as a farmer is getting harder every year. Seeds are getting expensive and the weather is never quite right. We use the biotech name but really it’s just about finding better ways to grow stuff in this soil. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, especially when the tractors go by. We handle the local produce and try to find where we can sell it for a bit more. It is mostly a lot of talking to neighbors and keeping track of who is growing what. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the land well. The paperwork can be a bit of a mess sometimes but we get through it eventually. We handle the fertilizers and the distribution when the season starts up. It is just basic work, trying to make sure everyone in the village has what they need to keep their farms going. We see a lot of people coming in with their problems and we try to see what we can do together. We keep some tools in the shed out back and the office is just a room with a desk.
