Rashmi Kisan Agro Producer Company Limited

Upreda village is where we are based, in the Rashmi area of Chittorgarh. It’s a nice place, though it can get very hot in the summer months. Our company is all about the local farmers coming together so we aren't at the mercy of the big middlemen. We have a small office right here in the village. It’s mostly just a room with some benches where we sit and talk about the harvest. We deal with maize, wheat, and whatever else the season brings. It’s not a fancy business. We have dirt on our boots and we talk in the local way. We try to help each other out with seeds and getting the tractors when they are needed. Sometimes the paperwork for the government is a real headache, and we spend hours trying to figure it out. We aren't corporate people with big plans. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off at the end of the year. People come by to ask for advice or just to see what the current prices are. We keep things honest and practical. It’s just us, working the land and trying to make things a little better for everyone in Upreda. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone chips in when things get busy. It is just the way we do things around here to keep the farm business alive.
