Up here in Puttur, things move at a steady speed. We are located in the Chittoor district, and it is the kind of place where you know your neighbors' business and they know yours. Our office is focused on engineering consultancy, which means a lot of technical talk and looking at blueprints. It is not the kind of place with a lot of chrome and glass. Instead, we have wooden desks and some old metal filing cabinets that have been here since the beginning. The light comes in through the side windows in the morning, which is the best time to get the difficult thinking done. We usually have a pot of tea going, and someone is always coming in with a question about a measurement or a local regulation. It is a practical environment. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or art for the walls. We would rather just have good tools and enough space to spread out our maps and plans. The town itself is quiet, which helps when you need to concentrate on complex calculations. Sometimes we take our lunch outside just to get some sun and air. We have been part of this community for a while, and we like being the place people come to when they need technical things figured out. It is just how we operate, day in and day out, without making a big deal about it. It is just a regular office in a regular town.
