Real Ruchi

Started Real Ruchi on Palakkad Main Road because we like food. It’s a busy spot in Bk Pudur, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We spent a lot of time cleaning up the place at No. 534 before opening. It isn't a huge kitchen, but it does what we need it to do. My brother helps with the cooking and I handle the front. We get a lot of people from Kuniamuthur stopping by. Sometimes the stove acts up or we run out of something, but we just deal with it. It’s mostly about getting the flavors right. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us trying to make sure the food tastes like home. The traffic on the main road is always loud, but you get used to it after a while. Most days we are here from early morning until late at night. We don’t do anything fancy with the decor. Just tables and chairs and good smells coming from the back. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. People seem to like the spice levels we use. We buy our supplies locally every few days. It feels good when a regular customer comes back and says they enjoyed their meal. We just keep going, day after day, trying to keep things simple and honest. We are glad to be part of the neighborhood here.
