Paithani Silk Weaving Center

It started pretty small here at the Paithani Silk Weaving Center. We are located right at 54 P-1 Town Center, which most people know is just opposite Mgm College. The machines and the looms take up most of the space, but that is how it goes when you're making these sarees. It gets a bit noisy sometimes when everything is running at once. People walk in from the college area or the main town center just to see what we are working on today. The lighting in the shop isn't always the brightest, but it works well enough for seeing the threads clearly. We've been at this spot for a while now. Some days it is just us sitting there making sure the patterns are coming out right. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a place where the weaving actually happens day in and day out. You can find us easily because of the college landmark across the way. Sometimes the silk gets everywhere, but we try to keep things organized. If you're walking around the town center, you'll probably see our sign. We usually have a few pieces hanging up so people can see the colors. It's a lot of sitting and focused work. Not much else to say about it, we just stay busy with the silk and the looms here in our little corner of the building. Most afternoons are quiet until the students come out.
