Neelams Beauty Parlour

You can find us over at B 4 Deshpande Puram. We are situated right across from the Shanurmiya Dargha in the Shahanurwadi area. It is a relatively quiet pocket of Aurangabad compared to the main city center. The Herambh Ganesh Temple over in Prabhat Nagri is just a short walk away from our front door. I have been running Neelams Beauty Parlour from this exact spot for quite some time now. It started out very small and it is still a pretty manageable size for me. People know the landmark of the Dargha very well, so they do not usually get lost trying to find us. Inside the parlour, it is just a standard setup. We have the usual chairs and the hair washing sink in the corner. I do almost all of the work myself. Sometimes the local ladies from the apartments come over just to sit and chat for a bit while they wait for their turn. It feels much more like a regular living room than a formal business sometimes. Shahanurwadi is a nice neighborhood to work in every day. I keep my tools tucked away in the drawers and I try my best to stay tidy. It is not like those big salons you find in the malls. It is just a local parlour. The Aurangabad heat can be quite a lot in the summer, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible. The flowers near the entrance sometimes bloom nicely. I spend a lot of time here.
