Anushka Beauty Parlour

Anushka Beauty Parlour is right on the main road in Harsul. We are very close to the Chaitanya Hanuman Mandir. You can hear the temple bells from inside the shop during the morning and evening prayers. It is a good location because everyone passes by here to get to the temple. The shop is just one room with a small wooden partition for privacy. We do all sorts of hair work and skin stuff. Nothing too complicated or expensive. I have been running this for about five years now. The walls are painted a light pink, though they could use a new coat of paint soon. I have a few stools for people to sit on while they wait their turn. We do not have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that spin fast. It is a bit dusty because of all the traffic on the road, so I have to wipe the counters twice a day. My sister-in-law helps me during the wedding season. That is when we get really busy and have to work late into the night. We do not have a fancy menu of services. People just tell us what they want and we do it for them. It is a practical place. We use the same products I use for myself at home. Most people around here are regulars. We know their families and what is happening in the village. It is a decent way to earn a living for us.
