Adityi Beauty Parlour

Our little place, Adityi Beauty Parlour, is found in Harsh Nagar. We are quite close to the Roop Mahal Complex in Aurangabad, so many ladies find us while they are out doing their shopping. The parlour is small, but it's ours. We have a curtain at the front for privacy because that's important for the women who come here. Most of our days are spent doing threading, waxing, or maybe a simple hair wash. It's not a big corporate salon with white floors; it’s more like a room where friends come to catch up while getting ready for a wedding or a party. I started this in Harsh Nagar because I wanted to work for myself and help the local ladies feel good. We have a few chairs and a small table for the nail polishes. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood peek in, or someone brings their sister along for company. It gets really busy during the festival season, and then we are working from morning until late at night. We use standard products that everyone knows. The lighting inside is bright so we can see what we are doing clearly. Aurangabad can get very hot, so the ceiling fan is always on high speed. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or see us when they walk toward the complex. It's a simple life here in Maharashtra. It's been five years now since we opened.
