Mahek Gents Parlour

If you walk down Baijipura Road in Aurangabad, you’ll find us right opposite the Ganje Shahida Masjid. It is a busy part of town and there is always something going on outside. The shop is a basic gents parlour. We have the usual chairs and the big mirrors that have seen better days. We spend most of our time standing on our feet, cutting hair and doing shaves for the men who live around Baijipura. It’s a lot of work but we like being part of the street. You can hear the call to prayer from the masjid across the road while we work. We don't use any fancy machines, just the normal clippers and razors. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cluttered with capes and spray bottles. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long out on the sidewalk. Some days are slower than others, especially when it’s really hot outside. We just sit by the door and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a simple living. We don't have a website or anything fancy. Just a sign outside and some chairs inside. People know us by name around here. We’ve been at this for a while and we plan to stay right here on this road. We just keep our heads down and do the work every single day.
