Chandrakant Gents Parlour

Chandrakant Gents Parlour has been sitting here on Hiwarkheda Road for quite some time now. We are right across from Wani Mangal Karyalay, which makes it easy for people to find us when there is a wedding or a big event going on over there. Being in Kannad Aurangabad, things move at a certain pace. The shop is small but it has everything needed for a decent haircut or a clean shave. I usually start my day by sweeping the floor and making sure the towels are ready. There is always a bit of noise from the road, but inside it feels okay. Most of the men who come here live nearby and we know each other by name. It’s not one of those modern places with bright lights and loud music. It’s just a simple room with the tools I’ve used for years. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just open the door for more light and keep working. People stop by to chat even if they don’t need a haircut that day. It’s a habit for many. The location near the karyalay means we get a lot of visitors from out of town too. I try to keep things organized, though it gets messy when we are busy. It’s just how a local shop works. We don't have a big sign, but everyone around here knows where we are. It’s been my life for years.
