Jatashankar Seeds Private Limited is based out of Maheva in Chhatarpur. You can find us at Mausania DL 3364. It’s a quiet area mostly, but when planting season comes around, things pick up quite a bit. We spend our mornings checking on the seed stocks and making sure everything is where it should be. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place for us to keep the books and meet with folks from the nearby farms. We deal with a lot of dust because of the location, but that’s just part of the job. In Chhatarpur, you get used to the pace of life being a bit slower. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the seeds we handle are decent and that we treat people fairly when they walk through the door. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of inventory to move. Other days, we might close up a bit early if the heat is too much. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't use a lot of fancy software or complicated systems. Paper and pen usually work just fine for us. People around here know where to find us if they need something for their fields. We’ve been at this for a while and we plan to stay right here in Maheva for the foreseeable future. There’s a big tree outside our office where we usually sit and talk when we need a break from the paperwork.
