If you come down to Badichurlai Barotha, you can find us at Shop No 1 in Ward No 6. That’s where Guru Gangdas Farmer Producer Company Limited is based. It’s a small shop, nothing too flashy, but it works for what we need to do. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers from the surrounding fields. They stop by to talk about their crops and what’s happening with the harvest. It’s a local thing, really. We’ve been in this ward for a while and everyone knows everyone. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us behind the counter or out back handling the logistics. Some days it’s quiet, and other days it feels like everyone in Barotha is trying to get in at once. We handle the business as it comes. It can be stressful when the season is changing, but that’s part of the life. We chose this spot because it’s easy for the tractors to pull up nearby. It’s a very grounded kind of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to be a reliable place for the farmers here in Ward 6. It feels good to be part of the community in a real way. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with bags and ledgers, but we know where everything is.
