Youth Boys Orchestra

Our group is based out of Peravalur, in Ramani Bhai Colony. The address is a bit confusing because it’s Old No 6/1 but New No 11. We are right near the Kumaran Nagar Milk Booth, which is how most people find us. We've been playing music together as the Youth Boys Orchestra for a long time. Our space is usually filled with instruments like drums, horns, and all the cases they go in. It gets pretty crowded in there when everyone shows up for a rehearsal. We don't have a fancy soundproof studio; it’s just a regular room where we practice and keep our stuff. The neighbors are mostly used to the noise by now, or at least they don't complain to our faces. Most of our work involves going out to play at functions, weddings, or local festivals. When we aren't out performing, we are usually here fixing equipment or talking about which songs to add next. It's a lot of work to keep an orchestra going, especially with so many people involved. We aren't trying to be world-famous or anything; we just like playing and keeping the tradition going in our neighborhood. The milk booth nearby is where we usually grab a drink after a long practice session. It’s a simple life, and the music keeps us busy enough. We just take one gig at a time and see where it goes. Sometimes we forget to tune one of the instruments before we start, but we catch it eventually during the first song.
