Vrs Earth Movers

Vrs Earth Movers is based at 2/26, Noothenchery Main Road in Madambakkam. Being right on the main road makes it easy for us to get the heavy equipment out to where it needs to go. We’ve been working in this area for a while, mostly doing the kind of heavy lifting and digging that people can't do by hand. It’s just a small crew of us, and we all live nearby. The work is pretty repetitive—digging, hauling, leveling—but it’s necessary for anyone trying to build anything around here. We spend a lot of time cleaning the filters and checking the tracks on the machines because the dust in Madambakkam can be really thick. Our office is nothing special, just a place to keep the keys and some old files. We don't have a receptionist, so if you call, you’re probably talking to someone who is currently sitting in the cab of a backhoe. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, trying to manage the schedule while we’re actually doing the work, but we manage. We aren't looking to become some huge corporation; we just want enough work to keep the guys paid and the machines in good repair. It’s a decent living, and we like being out in the open air instead of stuck in a small room all day. When the job is done, we just pack up, head back to the main road, and get ready for the next one.
