Our little office is tucked inside City Centre Plaza on Anna Salai. It’s Shop Number 19. If you know that area in Chennai, you know it’s always busy and there is a lot of noise from the traffic outside. The plaza itself has seen better days, but it has a lot of character. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. It’s not a huge space, just enough for us to fit our desks and a couple of extra chairs for when people stop by. The light in the hallway is a bit dim sometimes, but once you step inside our shop, it’s alright. We don't have those big glass walls or fancy snacks you see in the new tech parks. We just have a water cooler and a bunch of cables running along the floor. Most of us take the bus or the metro because parking near Anna Salai is a nightmare. It’s a very practical place. We know the other shop owners nearby, like the guy who sells watches and the one with the printing shop. We talk about the weather or the cricket scores while we wait for our lunch to be delivered. It is just a regular workplace where we try to get through the pile of work on our desks. There’s no big corporate manual here. We just figure things out as we go and keep moving. We keep a spare umbrella by the door because the rain always catches us off guard.
