Velan Clinic

Velan Clinic is located right at 58/12 Muthulinga Reddy Street in Tambaram. It is a small place, nothing too big or flashy. We have been here for a good number of years now. Most of the people who come in are from the immediate neighborhood. They know us and we know them. It is usually just one or two of us working the front desk and the doctor in the back. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people walking to the market. We have a few plastic chairs for the waiting area. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in there when the power goes out, but we have a small generator that kicks in. We handle simple things like fevers, coughs, and the occasional bandage job. It is not a place for major surgeries or anything like that. We just provide a place for folks to get a quick checkup without having to go all the way to a big hospital. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to get around to it. We keep our files in old metal cabinets. It is a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We open up early and usually stay until the last patient is seen in the evening. That is just how it goes at our little clinic on Muthulinga Reddy Street. We are just part of the daily life in Tambaram.
