V N P Earth Movers

Down at No - 4/84 in Thirumal Nagar, you’ll find our little setup for V N P Earth Movers. It is mostly a family thing. We’ve got our machinery parked out back, and the office is just a small room at the front of the property. Thirumal Nagar is a growing area, so there is usually some kind of construction happening nearby. We help with the digging and moving of soil mostly. It is noisy work, and the diesel smell stays on your clothes long after you’ve finished for the day. We don’t have a big team, just a few guys who know how to operate the levers. Sometimes the machines get stuck in the soft earth after a heavy rain, and that’s always a struggle to get them out. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because these machines are expensive and we can't afford them sitting idle for long. My wife helps with the accounts when she has time in the evenings. We’ve been at this address for a long while now. We don't go in for any of that polished business talk. We just tell you what we can do and then we go out and do it. It’s honest work, even if it is a bit dirty and loud. We like being part of the local community here and seeing the new houses go up on the land we helped clear.
