Urban Boyz Studios Llp is tucked away at No 42 on the ground floor of Thirukural Street in Kamatchi Nagar. It’s in the Valasaravakkam area, which is a place we’ve grown quite familiar with over the years. Being on the ground floor is very handy because we don't have to deal with stairs or elevators when we’re moving stuff in and out of the studio. The space isn't some massive Hollywood-style setup. It’s a local space where we do our creative work. Thirukural Street is a fairly regular residential and commercial mix, so there’s a good bit of life around the office. We spend a lot of our time inside, working through whatever project is currently on the table for us. There’s a lot of trial and error in what we do, and the ground floor space gives us the room to breathe while we work. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we’re a huge corporation. We’re just a group of people working under the name Urban Boyz Studios Llp. The office is mostly functional, with wires here and there and plenty of screens. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when people pass by on the street outside, but it’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We like the location because it’s easy to get to and it doesn't feel too isolated from the rest of Chennai. It’s just a normal spot for some work.
