United Exhibitions

We’re located at New No. 24, which used to be No. 8/4, on 2nd Street in V.O.C. Nagar, over in Anna Nagar East. It’s a fairly easy place to find once you know the street. United Exhibitions is what we call ourselves. We spend most of our time planning out trade shows and public exhibitions. The office is a bit cluttered with floor plans, booth designs, and old banners from previous years. We have a few computers that are always running and a big table for looking at prints. It’s a small group of us here. We don't really go for the high-pressure sales talk. Usually, we are just figuring out which vendors go where and how to fit everything into a hall. Anna Nagar is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always something happening outside our window. We take turns making tea in the afternoon. Sometimes we stay late when we’re getting ready for a show in another city. The shelves are full of old directories and samples of carpet and wall panels. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't have a receptionist; you just walk in and one of us will look up from what we’re doing. We just try to do a solid job and make sure the exhibitors have what they need for their stalls. It is a lot of work but it’s what we know.
