Thirumala Catering Service

Thirumala Catering Service is located in one of those narrow lanes in Triplicane. Our address is New No 42, which used to be Old No 19, on II Lane near the Karpaka Kanniamman Koil. It’s a very traditional part of town, and we are quite close to Kosha Hospital too. Being in Triplicane means we are surrounded by small streets and a lot of history. Our kitchen is where everything happens. It’s a modest setup where we prepare traditional meals for various gatherings. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be very efficient with our big pots and pans. The air is always filled with the scent of sambar and fresh curry leaves. We are just a group of local people who know how to cook for large groups. There isn't any corporate structure here; it's mostly family and long-time workers. We spend our days peeling, cutting, and stirring large vats of food. The lane can be a bit difficult for large vehicles, so we’ve gotten good at moving things quickly by hand to the main road. It’s a busy life, and we don't spend much time on computers or marketing. We just focus on the orders we have for the day. If you walk past the temple and head towards the hospital, you’ll likely find us working away in the back lane. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us connected to the community and the rhythm of the neighborhood.
