We are working out of the office at 1/253 Kamraj Nagar, right on the 4th Main Road in Thiruvanmiyur. This part of Chennai is always active, and our branch of Tata Consultancy Services is no different. It’s a place where people come in early, grab a coffee, and get stuck into their computer screens for the day. While the company is huge, our local office feels more like a community of workers who just want to get through their projects. We deal with a lot of code, data, and technical issues that most people would find boring, but it’s what we do. The 4th Main Road is a familiar sight to all of us, with its shops and the usual Chennai heat. We don't have a team of writers making us sound like a high-tech movie. We are just engineers, analysts, and support staff trying to meet our deadlines. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold, and other times we are all rushing to finish a task before the weekend. It is a lot of sitting at desks and attending meetings that go on a bit too long. We have our local tea spots nearby where we go to take a break from the screens. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady and we work hard at it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
