Tapan Clinic

Our place, Tapan Clinic, is situated at No. 45 in the Ekambaram Naicker Estate. We are specifically on the 3rd Cross Street in Alapakkam. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, which is nice because it isn't as noisy as the main highway. You turn down the street and look for our number on the gate. The estate has a lot of small businesses and houses mixed together. We have a small porch area where people sometimes wait if they get here early. The gate squeaks a little when you open it. Inside, the rooms are fairly small but we make use of every inch. We have a couple of benches and a table where we keep the registers. Most of the day is spent handling the usual tasks that come with a clinic in Alapakkam. We see people from the nearby streets walking over. The light in the afternoon comes through the side window and hits the desk. We don’t have a big reception staff, just us doing the daily chores. Sometimes we have to move boxes around to find what we need. It is a simple setup without any bells or whistles. We have lived and worked in this area for a while, so we know the local landmarks well. The trees outside provide a bit of shade during the hottest part of the day. It’s just a regular street and a regular building where we do our work.
