Stylish Beauty Parlour & Training Institute

We are located at No 126 on Throwpathy Amman Koil 1st Street in Velacheri. Some people still look for the old number 36, but the new one is what is on the door now. It is a quiet enough street most of the time, but being nearby Velachery Govt School means things get loud when the bells ring and the kids head home. We have two sides to what we do here. One part is the beauty parlour where ladies come in for hair and skin stuff. The other part is where we teach girls who want to learn the trade. The training institute takes up a good bit of space with practice heads and chairs. It gets crowded when a class is going on and customers are also waiting. We have to manage the space carefully. Chennai heat means the fans are always spinning at full speed. We spend a lot of time talking to the students about how to hold the thread or the scissors correctly. It is a lot of repetitive work, but that is how they learn. The school nearby is a good landmark for people finding us for the first time. We mostly just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the supplies are stocked up. Velacheri is growing fast and the street looks different every year, but we stay busy with the local crowd and the students learning their new skills.
