Star Eventz

Star Eventz is based on the third floor of No 621 on Anna Salai. We are right in the Thousand Lights area, which is pretty much the middle of everything in Chennai. If you look out the window, you can see the constant stream of cars and bikes on Anna Salai, and we are directly opposite the Crystal Residency. Being on the third floor means we carry a lot of stuff up and down those stairs, which definitely keeps us in shape. We handle all kinds of events, from small birthdays to bigger parties, but we don't like to brag about it. We just show up, set the things up, and make sure it works. It is often a bit chaotic, especially when we are trying to load the vans and the traffic is blocked up all the way down the road. The office is usually cluttered with fabric samples, light bulbs, and stacks of papers. It is a working office, not a showroom. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and trying to get the best prices for things so the local families can afford to have a nice celebration. We’ve been in Thousand Lights for a good bit now and we know most of the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a tough business with long hours, but seeing a hall finally look ready makes the sore backs and the late nights worth it in the end.
