Star Beauty Saloon

Our shop is over on Barakka Road Main Street, number 26/61. It is right in the Nammalwarpet area, and if you know where the Secretariat Colony Police Station is, we are just opposite that. Star Beauty Saloon is a small, local place. We have been part of this street for a long time. The neighborhood is mostly families and small businesses. We have a few chairs for the customers and a bench for those waiting their turn. It is a simple setup with mirrors and some pictures of different hairstyles on the wall. We do basic haircuts, shaves, and trims. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors. We know their kids and their stories. It is a noisy street sometimes, especially with the police station right there, but we are used to it. We keep a fan going to stay cool and have a small radio for some noise in the background. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the hair from the floor after every cut. It is a never-ending job. We aren't trying to be fancy or modern. We just provide a place for the local men to get cleaned up. It is a good, honest way to make a living, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces every day when they stop by for a quick trim.
