Sruthi Swaram

Sruthi Swaram is located in shop number 2 of the KV Apartments at number 160. We are on Melpatti Ponnappan Street in the Vyasarpadi area. It’s a busy part of Chennai and there is always something going on. Being in an apartment complex means we are right in the middle of a lot of families and daily life. You can hear people talking and the sounds of the street all day long. Our shop is small and packed with our stuff. We don't have a lot of room to move around, but we make it work. The street outside is Melpatti Ponnappan Street, which is a major local road. It gets quite dusty and loud with all the autos passing by. We’ve been here for a long time and we know our neighbors in the apartments well. We share the same space and the same challenges, like the heat and the rain. Our shop doesn't have any flashy lights or big advertisements. It’s just a simple door and a counter. We open up every morning and wait for the day to start. Vyasarpadi has a very local, working-class feel to it that we appreciate. We aren't trying to be a big chain; we are just this one shop in this one building. It’s a practical place for us to be and we like being part of the community here in the 600039 zip code. It’s just where we are every day.
