Sri Gruha Pooja Agencies is right at Shop No. 2 by the Puzhudhivakkam Bus Stand. Being so close to the buses means there is never a quiet moment from early morning until late at night. You can always hear the engines and the conductors calling out the stops. We keep all the items people need for their daily prayers and special ceremonies at home. The smell of incense and camphor is always strong in our shop, which we have gotten used to over the years. It is a small place but we use every inch of the walls to display what we have. Sometimes it is a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just open the shutters and wait for the commuters to stop by on their way home. People often realize they forgot something for their pooja and jump off the bus to grab it from us. We know which items are popular during the festival seasons and we try to stock up ahead of time. It is a lot of work keeping everything clean because of the dust from the bus stand, but we manage. It’s a simple, honest business and we like being right in the middle of where people are traveling. We just take things as they come and help out our customers.
