You can find Graceyon Shopping Pvt. Ltd. at 36 Duraisamy Reddy Street in West Tambaram. This street is always busy with people heading to the station or just doing their daily errands. We started this place because we wanted a shop that felt like it belonged to the neighborhood. It is not one of those huge department stores where you get lost. We have a bit of everything and we try to keep the shelves stocked with the stuff that people actually use in their houses every day. The building itself is an older one and it has its quirks, like the way the front door sometimes sticks when it's humid outside. We spend our mornings checking what came in from the suppliers and trying to find room for it all. Working in retail in West Tambaram means you meet all sorts of people. Some just want to buy their things and leave, while others like to chat for a bit. We don't have a big staff, so you usually see the same faces every time you walk in. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and moving boxes around, but we are used to it by now. We just try to keep things simple and honest for everyone who comes through our door.
