Srf Ltd. is based out in the Manali Industrial Area. This part of Chennai is full of big factories and chimneys, and we are right in the middle of all that. It’s a very different world from the residential parts of the city. There are trucks coming in and out at all hours, and the air always has that heavy industrial smell. Our facility is quite large, and it takes a lot of people to keep things running properly. We have different shifts, so the work never really stops. People come from all over to work here in Manali. It’s not the kind of place where you have a quiet office with a view. It’s about production and making sure the machinery is maintained. We deal with a lot of technical stuff and big-scale manufacturing. There are pipes everywhere and large tanks of materials. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We don't really have a front shop where people can just walk in and buy things. It’s more about the big contracts and moving materials in bulk. Safety is a big deal here because of all the heavy equipment. We wear our gear and follow the rules that are posted up. It’s a tough environment but it’s an important part of the industrial belt. The roads around here are always full of dust and heavy tankers, but that is just life in Manali for us.
