Skin Clinic

We are tucked away at No.2/1 Sripuram 1st Street in Royapettah. It’s a narrow street, so it’s easy to drive right past us if you aren’t looking closely. I’ve spent most of my life here in Royapettah, so I know a lot of the faces that pass by our window every day. The clinic itself is pretty small. We have a tiny waiting room and one main area where we see people. I try to keep some newspapers around for people to read, but they usually end up in a pile. We see all sorts of skin problems. Since it gets so hot around here, we see a lot of sun damage and heat-related issues. We don’t have central air, just a couple of big ceiling fans that do the job. My assistant, Ravi, is usually the one who answers the door and talks to people first. We don’t have a formal booking system; we just take people as they arrive. It’s a very casual atmosphere. There’s a good tea stall just down the street where I go when things are quiet. We aren’t trying to be a high-end medical center. We’re just a local spot for skin care. If you’re on Sripuram 1st Street, just look for the number 2/1. We’re usually there until the sun goes down.
