You can find us at No 73 in the Smk Shopping Complex on Ellis Road. It is right across from the Srinivasan Hotel, which is a big landmark around here. Mount Road is just around the corner, so it is always noisy with buses and bikes. Silpy Beauty Hair Styles is a place where guys come to get their hair sorted out. We have been in this complex for a long time. The stairs can be a bit steep, but people still come up. We have a few stations set up with mirrors and drawers for our combs and scissors. It is a basic shop, really. We do not spend much on decorations because we are more concerned with the actual work. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains. But when the weather is good, the shop is full. We use those blue plastic capes for the customers. After a long day, my feet usually ache, but it is good to be busy. We know most of the shopkeepers in the complex. We go out for tea together when there is a break. It is a tight community on Ellis Road. We just keep the shop open and take care of whoever walks in. It is a simple life and we like it that way. Most people find us just by walking past the hotel.
