The office is at 26/2 on the main road of Kumaran Colony. Vadapalani is a very busy spot, as anyone who lives in Chennai knows. We spend a lot of time watching the traffic from our window while we work. This is where Siddhaquest Pharmaceuticals is based. It is basically a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of files. We handle various medicines and supplies throughout the day. The main road outside is always loud with horns and buses going by. We usually get to the office around nine. Some of us take the bus and others come on bikes. There is a small mess nearby where we get our lunch most days. It is not a corporate high-rise or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we keep track of our orders. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we end up doing more manual work than we planned. We have a couple of delivery guys who are always coming in and out with packages. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the building. We just keep the fans going and get through the tasks. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking the inventory lists. It is a straightforward job in a part of the city that never really sleeps.
