Sri Jayakrishna Brick Industries

We run our brick business over on Lakshmi Talkish Road in Shenoy Nagar. It’s been our main base at number 17/28 for quite some time. Making bricks is dusty, heavy work and it keeps us busy from sunrise. We have the kilns and the yard where everything happens throughout the day. Shenoy Nagar is a good place for us because the transport trucks can get in and out easily enough. Most days you'll find us checking the loads or talking to the various drivers. It's a very straightforward operation. We make the bricks, we stack them, and they go out to different sites around town. There isn't much to say about it other than it’s honest, hard work. We’ve been part of the local community for many years now. People know Sri Jayakrishna when they see our trucks. The road gets really busy near the old talkies area. We just stick to our routine and make sure the bricks are ready when they need to be. It’s not a quiet job by any means. There’s always some noise from the machinery or the loading process. We don’t have a big fancy office, just a small desk where we keep all the papers. Sometimes the heavy rain slows us down, but we always manage.
