You can find us over on Bazaar Road at number 102. We are pretty close to the City Centre in Mylapore, which makes it a very busy spot to be in. The road is always packed with shoppers and carts, so getting our delivery trucks in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We deal with all kinds of decorations, mostly stuff for local ceremonies and small gatherings. Our shop is full of fabric rolls, artificial flowers, and various frames that we use for setups. It’s usually a bit dusty because of all the materials moving around. We spend a lot of time cutting cloth or arranging floral pieces on the floor. Most of our work is done on-site at whatever venue we are assigned to, but the planning and prep happen here at 102. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll often see my brother or my uncle helping out with the heavy lifting. We don’t really do big advertisements; people just see our work at a neighbor’s house and ask for our number. We try to keep things simple and use what we have available. Sometimes a customer wants something very specific and we have to go hunting through the local markets to find the right shade of silk or a particular type of light. It’s a lot of running around, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants their event decorated at the same time.
