Saila Hygienic Gents Hair Stylist is located at No 109 on NSC Bose Road in Sowcarpet, Chennai. This part of town is incredibly busy all day long with trucks and people everywhere. Our shop is right on the main road, so we see everything that goes on outside. It’s a place for men to get a quick haircut or a shave without any fuss. We have the word hygienic in the name because we try to keep our razors and tools as clean as we can, which is important. The shop isn't very big, just enough for a few chairs and a place for people to stand while they wait. We have big mirrors on the walls and the usual jars of combs and scissors. It’s a noisy environment because of the traffic on NSC Bose Road, but we just turn up the radio a bit. Most of the men who come in are workers from the nearby markets or shops who just want a decent trim. We don't do any of those fancy modern styles, just the regular cuts people have been asking for years. The floor is usually covered in hair until we get a break to sweep it. We’ve been at this location for a while now and we know the rhythms of the street. It’s a tough, busy place to work, but we are used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
