S Studio Unisex Salon

S Studio Unisex Salon sits on the ground floor of Dr Rajiv Towers over in Purasawalkam. It is right on the High Road, No 231/14, so it gets pretty crowded with people passing by all day. We are quite close to Tank Madhar Sha, which is a big landmark everyone around here knows. Being a unisex place means we see everyone, from college guys wanting a new look to ladies coming in for a hair wash and set. The ground floor spot is good because people don't have to climb stairs when it is boiling hot outside. Inside, we have a few stations set up for hair cutting and grooming. We usually have the radio playing some local songs in the background to keep things lively. On weekends, it gets really packed, and sometimes people have to wait on the bench near the door, chatting with each other. We try to work fast but not so fast that we make mistakes. The lighting is just regular tube lights, and we keep our combs and scissors in those blue plastic trays. It is not a huge studio, but there is enough room for a few people to get their hair done at once without bumping into each other. Purasawalkam is always buzzing, and we feel like a small part of that daily rush. Most folks just drop in without an appointment while they are out doing their shopping.
