Royal Hair Style has been sitting here at No.82/35 on Parasuraman Street for quite some time. We are right by the Bharath Theatre Roundtana, so it is a landmark everyone in Old Washermanpet knows. Chennai is a big city, but this corner feels like a small village sometimes because everyone knows each other’s business. Our shop isn't huge, but it fits a few chairs and a small waiting bench for those waiting their turn. I remember when we first put the sign up, it felt like a big deal for us. Now, it's just the place where we go to work every single day. We do haircuts, shaves, and the basic things people need to look decent. It gets crowded on weekends, especially when there's a new movie playing nearby and people are out and about. We don't use fancy titles or any corporate talk. It's just a place to get your hair cut and maybe talk about the cricket score or local news. The street can get pretty noisy with the bikes and the theater crowd, but that's just part of being in this part of Chennai. We keep the mirrors clean and make sure the scissors are always sharp. It's a simple life running a shop like this. We've seen kids grow up and start bringing their own children here. That’s just how it goes in a place like this. We are just glad to be part of the neighborhood here on Parasuraman Street. No big plans, just a local barber shop for regular people.
