Roshan Melodies

We've been at this spot on Bangaru Naicken Street for a while now. It's right across from where the Gulab Band folks stay, so there's usually some noise around Mount Road. Most days we are just busy with the instruments and making sure everything sounds right. It gets a bit cramped inside with all the gear piled up, but we make it work. Sometimes people stop by just to see what's going on when they hear the music drifting out into the street. The building is older, you can tell by the New No 27 and Old No 15 sign outside. It’s got that specific smell of old wood and some dust that never quite goes away. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and a lot of wires everywhere. Usually, someone is practicing in the back room while another person handles the phone calls. The traffic on Mount Road is always a mess, so we usually just stay put until the sun goes down. It's a simple setup we have here. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. Everyone around here kind of knows what we do without us having to say much. It isn't a quiet job, but it’s what we do every day since we opened up. We just try to keep things moving and get through the schedule.
