Rangeela Ryhthms

If you go down Murugesan Mudali Street in Choolai, you will find us at No 23. It’s a busy street, like most places in this part of Chennai. We are situated right behind the old Vasanthi Theater. That building is a landmark around here, so it makes it easier for people to find our door. We call our little setup Rangeela Ryhthms. It’s not a huge operation with a bunch of managers. It is just a few of us who like rhythm and sound. The office, if you can even call it that, is mostly filled with equipment and cables. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of things going on at once. Choolai is a loud neighborhood with all the traffic and the shops, so we fit right in. We don't have a polished way of talking to people. If you come by, you’ll probably find us drinking tea and looking at a schedule. We just handle the music and the beats for whoever needs them. The walls are a bit thin, so we hear the street noise all day. We’ve been at this address for several years and the locals know us. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Chennai. We just want to do a decent job and go home at the end of the day. The building is old and the floor is uneven, but it has been a good home for us.
