Ramdas Hair Style

Ramdas Hair Style is over in Old Washermanpet at number 25 on G.A. Road. We are directly across from the ICICI Bank, which is a very busy spot. This part of Chennai has a lot of history and the people here have lived in the same houses for generations. Our shop is a small one, just a basic hair cutting place. We have a couple of chairs and the standard tools. The G.A. Road is never quiet; there is always the sound of buses and horns. We open up early and stay open until late evening. A lot of our customers are people who work in the nearby markets or live in the narrow lanes behind the main road. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here because of the sign out front. We spend the day cutting hair and giving shaves. Sometimes someone wants a head massage too. We keep a small television in the corner, usually playing the news or a cricket match if one is on. It’s a simple life in Old Washermanpet. We see the same faces every month when their hair grows out. The bank across the street brings a lot of foot traffic past our door. We just keep the scissors moving and the shop tidy. It is just the way it has always been here on G.A. Road.
