Rama Decors

Rama Decors is located at No. 174 in Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, right on 2nd Street in Kilpauk. We are very close to the Indian Bank branch here, which is a good landmark because the streets around Chennai 600010 can get a little confusing for people who don't live here. The shop itself is mostly filled with rolls of fabric and samples of things we use for decorating houses. It is not a very large space, and sometimes the rolls are stacked so high you have to squeeze past them to get to the desk. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors about their homes and what colors might look okay in the humid Chennai weather. It gets quite dusty with the traffic moving outside on the street, so we are always cleaning the glass. The light in the afternoon hits the front window in a way that makes everything look a bit orange. We don't have a big team of designers, just a few of us who know how to handle the materials. When it rains heavily in Kilpauk, the street outside gets some puddles, and we usually have to move the stock further back from the door. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they were going to the bank and saw our sign. It is a straightforward business where we just try to help people make their places look a little better without overcomplicating things.
