Rakhee Herbal Beauty Parlour

Rakhee Herbal Beauty Parlour is located right on Mint Street in Park Town. If you know Chennai, you know how busy this area gets, especially around No 205. We opened up this place a while back to help people with simple beauty things using natural stuff. We don't use many of those heavy chemicals you see in big shops. Usually, in the mornings, I get here early to sweep and set things up before the first customers walk in. It is often quite hot outside, so people like coming in here just to sit for a bit while they get their hair done or a face pack put on. We use a lot of herbal pastes and powders that we mix ourselves in the back room. It smells like crushed leaves and turmeric most of the day. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to speak up, but that is just part of being in Park Town. Most of our regulars are women who live nearby or work in the small offices around here. They come in for a quick threading or maybe some henna for their hair when they have an hour to spare. We don't have fancy leather chairs or bright neon lights, just basic mirrors and comfortable seats. It is a small space, but we keep it clean. People seem to like that it is quiet once you get inside and away from the Mint Street noise.
